Bernard is an approximately 6 month old, neutered male, Chihuahua mix; Bernard weighs approximately 12lbs, is fully vaccinated, and microchipped. This handsome little guy was abandoned at Haven when he was just two months old, but our staff and volunteers made sure he received all the love and attention he could handle! Because of all that love and attention, Bernard is very much a people puppy; he loves to be held, loves to curl up in your lap, loves to just be near you! He’s also very playful and has a lot of energy; he loves to just run around the play yard and he’s always running around playing with his stuffies. We’ve recently introduced him to our younger small breed puppies, and he’s had a lot of fun playing with them; he was a lot for the little ones to handle, but they all took nice long naps after that first play group! Bernard does go on walks, and he does fairly well on a leash, but we do recommend continued obedience training to help build his confidence on-leash, and for continued socialization.
