This week we're shining the spotlight on one of our newer arrivals, and a sweet girl who's been with us for some time, now.
Leia is an absolute blast to be around! She, and her brother, Luke, came to us from an unfortunate situation where they were living in the cab of a truck. The person that brought them to us was doing they best they could, but a truck cab is no place for two playful and energetic puppies, so we welcomed them to Haven! We're not sure what breed she is, she has characteristics of a Lab/Shepherd mix, but her brother looks like he may have some Boxer in him, so who knows?! What we do know is that Leia is a spunky and playful girl that's an absolute sweetheart!
Helena...is anything but spunky. She is a very mellow, very quiet girl, and she is extremely shy. She has been with PALS for a little over seven years now, and the combination of her being extremely shy, and a little bit older now, means she's not the type of cat that a lot of cat lovers are looking for, so it's all too common for her to get overlooked. She's currently roomies with another one of our more quiet cats, and they do well together. Our volunteers have built up trust with her, so she knows she can always get some attention from them whenever she's in the mood to socialize. What this sweet girl really needs is someone to see how special she is, and a quiet home, full of patience, and love.
