Leia is an approximately 5 month old, spayed female, Lab/Shepard/Boxer mix; Leia weighs approximately 35lbs, is fully vaccinated, and microchipped. This sweet girl, and her brother, Luke, didn’t have the best start to life, being discarded, and then living out of the cab of a truck, before finding their way to Haven. None of that seemed to phase them in the least, though, and they were loving, playful, and engaged puppies from the moment we brought them into Haven. Leia is a very affectionate girl, she loves to jump up in your lap, and cover your face with kisses; she’s all about being wherever you are, and she just eats up the attention! She’s very playful, and active, too, and when she and her brother are out in the play yard together, she more than holds her own during their playful puppy roughhousing. She seems to really love playing with rope toys, and she has so much fun just running up and down the yard! Leia is doing well with her basic obedience training, and is walking very well on the leash, for the most part, but we always recommend continued obedience training to help with socialization, bonding with her new owner, and to help her reach her full K-9 potential.
