This week we're shining the spotlight on Ariel and Bijou!
Ariel is probably one of the sweetest cats we have...when she feels comfortable with you, but you have to have patience with her to really see her whole personality shine through. She's independent, and likes to do her own thing, but with staff and volunteers that she knows and loves, she can be very affectionate and loving. Ariel definitely needs to be an only cat, and in a home that won't rush the connection, but give it time to grow at her pace.
Bijou, on the other hand, is not a shy girl, and she's extremely affectionate...if you come and meet her, get ready to have your whole entire face covered in kisses! She is very energetic, so she needs lots of play time in the yard, and walks to help her burn off some energy. She is a very strong, and sometimes willful, dog, so she will need an experienced large breed owner to help give her guidance and direction. She has shown signs of reactivity with other dogs in the past, though she has shown great improvement with this in the last few months, but we think she'd probably be best as an only dog.
If you're interested in Ariel or Bijou, or any of the other 100+ adoptable animals we have waiting to find their forever home, please come in and get to know them! We're open Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, and you do not need an appointment to meet our adoptable animals!
