Here's a few things to know about the benefits of adopting a senior pet:
Older dogs can have a calmer temperament; with age comes not only wisdom, but also a more relaxed state of being for dogs.
Bonding with a senior dog can be almost instant! Because senior dogs have experienced socialization and bonding with humans before, they tend to easily bond with whoever gets to adopt them.
While we ask you to please consider adopting a senior pet, especially during National Adopt a Senior Pet Month, they need all of us to advocate for them year round, so whenever you're ready to adopt, consider opening your hearts and home to a senior pet!
