This week, we're featuring two of our shyer rescues for Debbie's Rescue Corner.
Sometimes, it takes a little longer for rescues to warm up to new people, for any number of reasons. These rescues, like Sitrus and, especially, Tulsa, do great with our volunteers and staff, because we've built up trust with them, but any time there's someone new brought into the mix, the process starts all over with that new person. This can make showing our shy animals to potential adopters harder, and in all honesty, sometimes a little frustrating, because we see how awesome they are with us, giving us big kisses, leaning into us for pets, or curling up next to us, but they meet someone new and that person doesn't get to see what we see!
We know, though, that there's someone out there for every cat and dog, even the shy ones, it just might take longer, and more patience, especially on the part of the potential adopter, to make it work! And, the end reward is a loving and faithful companion that knows that YOU are THEIR person!
