As the new year approaches, everyone's mind is on resolutions. Exercise tops the list of New Year's resolutions so with that in mind, this week's Rescue Corner focuses on Benjamin and Jasmine. Benjamin has endless energy and would be a great companion while you exercise. Jasmine, on the other hand, is a couch potato and needs some exercise.
Benjamin, or Benny as we call him, is an absolute sweetheart of a dog with people, with other dogs...he's just not much of a fan. Because of his reactivity around other dogs, Benny would need to be an only dog, but he also needs an owner with experience handling large breed dogs with some social anxiety. The sad thing with Benny is that when he meets new people he is friendly, engaging, and will melt their hearts, but we know it's going to take a special situation to give Benny the safe and loving environment he needs to thrive.
Jasmine is a sweetheart as well, her only vice...is a little over-indulgence. We do monitor her food intake, but when she gets out for her morning playgroup, she's always checking for any tasty morsels that her friends may have left behind in their condos. Plus, she'd much rather find a cozy spot to curl up in, than run around and play with the younger cats! Jasmine's New Year's resolution is to continue being sweet and adorable...and find herself an awesome forever home!
If you're interested in meeting Benny or Jasmine, or any of the other 100+ adoptable animals we have waiting to find their forever home, please come in and get to know them! We're open Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, and you do not need an appointment to meet our adoptable animals!
